Not the usual type of release we'd stock, however we had a hand in making this 7" happen, so thought we'd see if any of our customers would like it? It's a cracking re-issue of the Lovers Rock version of a Barbara Acklin classic! Producer Dennis Forbes recorded this in the same session as Sugar Minott's Got A Good Thing Going, in a London Chinatown basement studio back in 1981. Having the genius to combine the pretty melody of Acklin's hit with the pulsating new reggae sound of UK Lovers Rock. The original 12" on the Pro label is pretty hard to come by and changes hands for some hefty prices, finally after a bit of time and patience, London's Jazzman Records gets to re-release it. It was way ahead of it's time, yet just right for today's fat subwoofers and deep bass bins - crank it up and feel the sound of super heavy reggaefied soul!
